Ukraine – Not State for Putin?

President of Russia Vladimir Putin threatened if Ukraine joins the NATO, our country may cease to exist as a united state. Russian newspaper “Kommersant” cites Putin as saying at the closed meeting of Russia-NATO council with the reference to the source in the delegation of unknown NATO country.

“When the matter was about Ukraine, Putin had got angry. He told George Bush: “You see, George, Ukraine is not even the state at all! What is Ukraine? Some part of its territory is the Eastern Europe, some its part, the greater part, is our gift!” He gave a clear hint if Ukraine joins the NATO, this state will cease to exist”, reported “Kommersant” source.

“Factually he threatened Russia may begin the process of separation of Crimea and Eastern Europe”, reported “Kommersant” source.

Meanwhile, some political scientists and experts declared it in the Russian broadcasting on Saturday Ukraine’s entry to NATO is fraught with a break-up of country and that is why Ukraine will never join the NATO.

“However, the Putin’s hint given by him at summit in Bucharest influenced on the Russian population”, “Kommersant” reports.
